Four-Year B Ed.
About the program
With the primary aim to produce trained teachers to teach at different levels of school education, the campus started Three-Year B. Ed program in 2054 BS. getting affiliation from Tribhuvan University. Since 2072 BS, the campus has been offering Four-Year B. Ed with annual examination system. This is a professional as well as academic program designed for preparing competent teachers who can teach two subjects at secondary level. Students at SMC can study one subject area as specialization major and the next as specialization minor area selecting from among Nepali, English, Mathematics, Science, Health and Physical Education, Population Education, and Economics.
Courses offered
Each student has to pass 22 courses to earn a degree in Four-Year B.Ed. These courses are divided into four major groups, which include the following.
Group A: Courses for communication skills
- General English (Eng. Ed. 411)
- Compulsory Nepali (Nep. 401)
Group B: Professional Core Courses
- Philosophical and Sociological Foundations of Education (Ed. 412)
- Educational Psychology (Ed. 421)
- Curriculum and Evaluation (Ed. 431)
- Elective (Any one of the following subjects)
- Instructional Technology (Ed. 442)
- ICT in Education (Ed.443)
- ICT in Specialized subject (Ed. 444)
Group C: Specialization Major
Students are required to select one of the following specialization areas with 10 courses in each area.
- Nepali Education
- English Language Education
- Math Education
- Science Education
- Health and Physical Education
- Population Education
- Economics Education
Group D: Specialization Minor
Students are required to select one of the following specialization areas with 5 courses. But it should be different from specialization major. For example, a student majoring Nepali cannot select Nepali as minor. Specially, student majoring Science Education (Physical Science) must select biology as minor subject.

Group E: Teaching Internship/Practicum
Eligibility for selecting major subjects
Proficiency Certificate Level of Tribhuvan University (PCL) or equivalent to Secondary Education/Grade 12 pass are eligible for the admission in Four-Year B. Ed. programme. In addition, they need other requirements for the admission in different major subject specialization areas which are as below.
- Nepali Education
- Grade 12 pass or PCL with Nepali major with at least 200 marks
- English Education
- Grade 12 pass or PCL with English or Linguistics major
- Grade 12 pass or PCL with 50% marks in General English
- Mathematics Education
- Grade 12 pass or PCL with Mathematics Major containing at least 200 marks
- Science Education
- Grade 12 pass or PCL with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects with at least 100 full marks in each subject
- Health and Physical Education
- Grade 12 pass or PCL with Health & Physical Education or
- Grade 12 pass or PCL with Science or Population or Home Science or Nursing and any other subjects.
- Grade 12 pass or PCL without health and physical education background must pass the physical fitness related entrance test conducted by the campuses.
- The candidate without physical disability will be eligible to study health and physical education.
- Population Education
- Grade 12 pass or PCL with Population Studies or Geography or Economics or Health and Physical Education or Community Health or Science or Mathematics or Home Science or Civics or Social Service or Nursing or Commerce.
- Economics Education
- Grade 12 passed or PCL or its equivalent from any Faculty
Eligibility for selecting minor subject
Except science education minor (Biology), minor subject areas are opened for all students irrespective of their previous study areas in Grade 11 and 12 or PCL. Only those students who are majoring physical science can select biology minor. Students are required to select minor subject areas that should be different from their major subject areas.

One-Year B. Ed.
About the Program
With the aim to prepare trained teachers for teaching at secondary level of school education, Sukuna Multiple has launched this twelve-month program since 2052 BS. The program is ideal for teachers as well as students willing to make a career in the teaching field. This programme basically focuses on pedagogical knowledge and methodological skills required to teach specific subject at secondary level. Prospective candidates with Bachelor’s Degree other than education should have gained content knowledge in different subjects’ but they lack the pedagogical knowledge and skills. The program equips learners with subject knowledge, pedagogical knowledge and skills, and competence to implement the specific knowledge and skills in specific contexts of teaching.

Each student has to pass six courses with can be divided into three categories: core courses which carry 300 full marks, specialization courses which carry 200 full marks, and Teaching Practice which carries 100 full marks.
