Introduction
The educational programs run in this college are affiliated to Tribhuvan University (TU), Nepal. It has been providing higher education for promising students through four different streams, viz. Humanities, Education, Management, and Science (four years) at bachelor’s level belonging to the University. Additionally, the campus has run semester-based BBA and BICTE programs at the bachelor’s level. At the Master’s level (post-graduate level) classes are run in two faculties: the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Management. Under the faculty of education, students can have seven different specialization subject areas to choose from. The selection of the specialization subjects is exclusively based on the criteria set by the affiliation-providing university (TU). In addition to them, the campus has run classes for grades 11 and 12 affiliated to the National Examinations Board(NEB), Nepal in which the students can choose subjects from four different subjects: Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management, and Science. However, the management aspect of the NEB-affiliated programs is separated from the management of the university-affiliated programs at present. From the point of view of human resources; the campus has 96 qualified, experienced, trained, and efficient teachers and over 21 non-teaching staff.
In terms of the time scheduled, the classes of Bachelor’s level and Grades 11 and 12 are run in the morning and day shifts. The MBS Program is run in the morning shift and the classes for M.Ed. start at 4 PM.
The most enthusiastic aspect for us is that it has been awarded the Quality Assurance and Accreditation (QAA) certificate on 12 August 2015 as per maintaining the quality standards set by the University Grants Commission, Nepal. It is, perhaps, one of the most significant achievements earned in the life of the campus itself. At present, the quality enhancement process of the campus is being strengthened in collaboration with the UGC.
